Cow calf pair
Dareena and her bull calf. He was born October 2, 2025.
Beautiful Dareena and our standing bull Dillen have given us a lovely young man. We shall name him Fitz’s Golden Legacy Daire. Dillen is the son of Colorado Chief and is from a well-known Legacy Dexter Cattle Registry line. Dillen’s dam is our wonderful Demelza and both carry A/2-A/2 milk genes. Dareena has great traditional lines that go back before the beginning of our US registries.
Daire is a historical favorite in Ireland and the name means “fruitful, fertile”. According to forklore; “The Brown Bull of Cooley was owned by Daire Mac Fiachn, and his refusal to sell his bull to Queen Maebh was part of the reason for the fight between the provinces of Ulster and Connacht. At present, Daire, is a very popular name in Ireland and it is often used as a girl’s name with the spellings Daire and Dara.”
Our handsome lad will wear his name with great Irish history and pride.
They are being offered together and could be part of a bigger package of Dexters if you are looking to start or expand your herd. Please inquire about others that could be part of a larger package. Transportation cane be discussed.
